Don’t Let Your Dental Issues Escalate

Like other people with missing teeth, you may feel uncomfortable about your appearance, which can cause a decline in your self-esteem, as well as your social and professional lives. The empty spaces in your smile can allow adjacent teeth to shift, thereby impacting your ability to eat food properly. In addition, the empty spaces can harbor bacteria, which can increase the risk of gum disease and decay in remaining teeth. Eventually, associated bone loss can lead to undesirable facial changes. These issues not only detract from your oral esthetics and function, they can also negatively impact your overall health! Full mouth dental implants will improve your oral health and overall quality of life … plus, you’ll feel more confident with your new smile! The team at North Macon Dental Associates offers All-on-6 and All-on-X full mouth restorations in Macon, GA to prevent these issues and enable you to enjoy life fully. Best of all, you can walk out of our practice with your dream smile on the same day!

We can help put an end to your painful and discouraging symptoms with full mouth solutions that fit your lifestyle, smile goals, and budget!

All-on-X Dental Implants vs. Dentures

When you entrust your smile to our practice, you can choose from a full spectrum of tooth replacement solutions for failing or missing teeth, including traditional dentures, implant supported dentures, and fixed full mouth dental implants crafted from zirconia. While dentures are traditionally the most affordable option, they aren’t a long-term solution and they lack natural functionality. Dentures don’t prevent bone loss, which can result in a poor fit, mouth irritation, functional problems and changes to your facial appearance. They also require messy adhesives, removal for cleaning and replacement within five years or so. Implant supported dentures that are attached to dental implants provide double the lifespan, greater stability and function of standard dentures. However, the most permanent and natural-looking solution to replace all your failing or missing teeth are full mouth dental implants in Macon, GA.

Thanks to innovative technology and Dr. Lee Stockslager’s expertise and skills, you can enjoy the life-changing benefits provided by healthier and more permanent solutions than traditional dentures! Dr. Stockslager has placed over 1,000 dental implants during his more than 40 years of dental experience. The All-on-6 or All-on-X protocol can give you a beautiful fixed bridge of teeth, attached to six or more dental implants, in far less time than other protocols. With proper care, this solution can last decades … or even a lifetime! Guided surgery and advanced implant protocols from Hiossen®, Southern Implants®, Astra Tech and BlueSky ensure precise placement and long-lasting results. Our in-house milling machines allow you to walk out of our practice with temporary new teeth on the day of your surgery! Your provisional implants will be crafted from Lucitone®, a high-quality dental material that offers outstanding esthetics, high impact resistance and superb resistance against bending.

A Customized Dental Implant Treatment Plan Specific To You

Once you’ve decided to restore your smile, Dr. Stockslager will discuss your smile goals, provide clinical recommendations and perform diagnostic imaging to determine how many implants you’ll need and what their optimal placement will be. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is used to analyze your bone structure, nerve tissue and sinus cavities. About 150–200 images (created in less than one minute!) are compiled into a single 3D picture, and this image provides invaluable information to guide the implant process. Before you leave our office, we’ll make sure you have a clear understanding of all the steps involved in your smile journey, including the estimated cost and other information specific to your unique treatment plan.

Step 2: Implant Placement

Although bone grafting generally can be bypassed with All-on-6 and All-on-X protocols, Dr. Stockslager can perform bone grafting on-site if you have inadequate bone volume to support implants. In addition to a local anesthetic to numb your gums, we offer several different sedation options for patients who request it. After your gums are numb and your choice of sedation has taken effect, Dr. Stockslager makes small incisions in your gums and places the required number of implants in preplanned sites in your jaw bone. During this visit, you’ll receive a temporary set of teeth that offers excellent esthetics and functionality, you’ll be able to talk and eat using this set until you return for your permanent full arch dental implants in Macon, GA.

Step 3: Healing and Follow-Up Visit

Before After
Before After
It takes dental implants three to six months to fuse with new bone growth in your jaw in a process called osseointegration. Proper osseointegration is essential, so your dental implants will be able to act like natural tooth roots and provide a strong and long-lasting foundation for your new teeth. During a follow-up visit, Dr. Stockslager will check your progress to make sure your gums are healing as expected and your temporary teeth are comfortable.

Step 4: Your New Life of Enjoyment!

While healing time varies from person to person, most patients return to our practice about four months after surgery to receive their final restoration. All-on-X dental implants are made to precisely fit your face shape and jaw size, just like natural teeth. We use state-of-the-art zirconia, which is chip- and fracture-resistant, and available in custom shades and colors that replicate the natural appearance of healthy teeth. After you receive full mouth dental implants from Dr. Stockslager, you’ll never have to worry again about common issues associated with dentures, such as teeth falling out, clicking or slipping, plus you’ll never need to remove them at night for cleaning!
